The terms that apply when you hire a vehicle from Ritz Rentals — eligibility, payment, insurance, fuel, returns and cancellations.

These terms apply to every vehicle hired from Ritz Rentals. Please read them before you book — by confirming a booking you agree to them. Anything specific to your hire (vehicle, dates, locations, extras and price) is set out in your booking confirmation.
Drivers must generally be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid, current driver’s licence. We may ask for a government-issued photo ID, and payment must be made with a credit or debit card in the primary driver’s name.
Visitors driving on an overseas licence should carry an International Driving Permit alongside their home-country licence. A young-driver surcharge of [SURCHARGE PLACEHOLDER] [CONFIRM] may apply to drivers under 25 or to certain vehicle classes.
A booking is confirmed once your reservation is accepted and payment is received. Ritz Rentals takes the full rental amount at the time of booking, together with a refundable security bond. The bond is held against the card used to book and released after the vehicle is returned undamaged, on time and with the agreed fuel level.
Additional charges — extras, fuel, tolls, fines, late returns or damage — are payable after the hire. Security bond: $500 [SAMPLE] [CONFIRM]
Standard insurance cover is included in every rental. You remain responsible for the insurance excess in the event of damage or loss, and for any damage excluded from cover.

Only drivers listed on the rental agreement may drive the vehicle. Vehicles must not be used for hire or reward, off-road, to tow, to carry more passengers than seatbelts, or while the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Smoking is not permitted in our vehicles.

Pick-up and return happen at the location and times shown on your booking. Delivery and collection are available on request. Airport shuttle: $30. Delivery to an address of your choosing: $60.

Ritz Rentals may cancel a booking where a vehicle becomes unavailable or the terms are not met; in that case any amount you have paid for the unused hire is refunded.
You are responsible for the vehicle during the hire, including fines, tolls and infringements incurred while it is in your care. Ritz Rentals is not liable for loss or damage to property left in a vehicle, or for indirect loss, except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
